that is an old story from 2008 that was re-spun.
labels email producers all the time, especially for new artists/remixes. but that should not be an opportunity to take personal shots, and furthermore portray me as a ‘desperate female artist.’ (when in reality i’ve never reached out to him at all and he knows that) yes, i was offended that is was brought up AGAIN, im a songwriter, im a producer. Im a woman in a male dominated producer-writer-dj field. i write my own material. so i stood up.

Je connaissais la vérité depuis toujours. Je voulais juste m’assurer que lui/vous aussi.
C’est une vieille histoire de 2008 qui a été ré-arrangée.
Les labels envoient des mails aux producteurs tout le temps, en particulier pour les nouveaux artistes/remixeurs. mais ca ne devrait pas être une occasion de faire des coups dans le dos, et en outre de me présenter comme une « artiste féminine désespérée ». (quand en réalité je ne lui ai jamais tendu la main du tout et il le sait). Oui j’ai été offensée que cela ai été soulevé ENCORE, je suis auteur-compositeur, je suis une productrice. Je suis une femme dans un monde dominé par les mâles producteurs compositeurs djs. J’écris mes propres compositions. Donc je me suis défendue.

im not sure where to put these feelings. im so sad. i feel like my entire childhood is underwater. the boardwalk in atlantic city, my old Apts in Brooklyn and LES. all the bars and friends. im just so sad. i know it will be ok. im not sure why i feel this way. maybe homesickness, or maybe its easier to be a gypsy if you know your soul grows from somewhere great. and that great place protected me my whole life, now parts are destroyed. just very sad and pensive today. thinking of everyone today.

je ne sais pas trop où mettre ces sentiments. je suis tellement triste. j’ai l’impression que mon enfance entière est sous l’eau. le passage en bois à atlantic city, mes anciens appartements à Brooklyn et dans le Lower East Side. tous les bars et mes amis. je suis juste tellement triste. je sais que ça va aller. je ne sais pas trop pourquoi je me sens comme ça. peut-être le mal du pays, ou peut-être que c’est plus facile d’être une gitane lorsque tu sais que ton âme grandit à partir d’un endroit génial. et cet endroit génial m’a protégée toute ma vie, maintenant des parties en sont détruites. je suis juste très triste et pensive aujourd’hui. je pense à tout le monde aujourd’hui.

i had food poisoning last night, and now altitude sickness cuz were 8000 feet above sea. my grandma AND my grandfather are both in the hospital and i can’t see my family for thanksgiving, and all i can think of is how i want to be a superstar for columbia tonight. the only thing keeping me going today is how beautiful BOGOTA is, I always dreamed of coming here. thank you monsters for being my home away from home

J’ai eu une intoxication alimentaire la nuit dernière, et maintenant le vertige car nous sommes à 8000 pieds au-dessus de la mer. ma grand-mère ET mon grand-père sont tous les deux à l’hôpital et je ne peux pas voir ma famille pour thanksgiving, et tout ce à quoi je pense c’est à quel point je veux être une superstar pour la colombie ce soir. la seule chose qui me fait tenir debout aujourd’hui est combien BOGOTA est beau, j’ai toujours rêvé de venir ici. Merci les monstres d’être ma maison loin de ma maison.

last night
i had the most amazing time last night. 30,000 kids in rio. I swore it would look empty, before we got there, but when we got there it was more of an amphitheater than stadium..30,000 people STANDING in a field. i only hope those in the back could see. it poured rain, and was so magical. the fans didn’t care about anything but enjoying this moment, and you could tell that many had never been to a concert. it filled me with so much joy i will never forget it, and it reminded me what our connection was built on: love and acceptance. we even played cake at the end just for fun, and i couldn’t believe they were singing along. for little monsters who are looking to connect with hardcore bad kids, rio is the place. its like little monster mecca. i don’t ever wanna leave

la nuit dernière
j’ai passé un merveilleux moment la nuit dernière. 30.000 gamins à rio. Je jure que ça avait l’air vide, avant que nous arrivions, mais quand nous y étions c’était plus comme un amphithéâtre qu’un stade. 30.000 personnes DEBOUTS dans un champs. j’espérais seulement que les personnes dans le fond puissent voir. il pleuvait, et c’était tellement magique. les fans ne se souciaient de rien sauf de profiter du moment, et on voyait que beaucoup n’avaient jamais assisté à un concert. ça m’a emplit de tellement de joie je n’oublierai jamais ça, et ça m’a ramené sur quoi est construite notre connexion : l’amour et l’acceptation. nous avons même joué cake à la fin juste pour le fun, et je n’arrivais pas à croire qu’ils la chantent. pour les petits monstres qui cherchent à rencontrer des sales gosses, rio est le bon endroit. c’est comme la mecque des petits monstres. je ne veux jamais partir
